Gerhard’s Fort

Gerhard’s Ford, also called Eastern Fort or Werk II (work no. 2) – one of Świnoujście fortresses.

 

It is located in the eastern part of Świnoujście, in Warszów quarter on Wolin island, near the lighthouse. The Fort  is one of the best-preserved 19th-century Prussian coastal forts in Europe. It was built in Wolin Island, in administration area of Świnoujście.
